The Ideal Interface Digital Delivery Process is our method for ensuring that we deliver websites that meet your and your users’ needs.
It is a four phase process that highlights the key project tasks and deliverables that can be expected in most implementations:
Phase 1 – Analyse & Understand
We agree with you the scope, the overall project timescales and key milestones. A creative brief is written and approved by you.
The technology solutions for specific functionality and applications are then explored, as well as the correct architecture and hosting requirements, that best meet your needs.
Phase 2 – Specify & Design
During this phase we create and validate the relevant user personas and source and review all the content.
The site map for all the content is produced and agreed and then we create the wireframes for all the key templates as well as defining key functionality such as search or registration.
The specifications for devices, browsers, operating systems, screen resolutions, web analytics packages and other important user and technical considerations are decided and signed-off.
In the design phase, templates with two different creative approaches are developed and you choose the creative treatment you prefer with a further design iteration on the selected creative for your final sign-off.
Phase 3 – Develop & Deliver
We start this phase by setting up the development environment, technology platform and content management systems.
Page templates are built to W3C standards and the remaining assets and media are created.
The approved content is then populated into the site and the whole site is tested so that it meets all criteria including code, functional, accessibility, content accuracy, device, browser and operating systems compatibility and other specific elements.
Phase 4 – Deploy & Handover
This is only the end of the beginning. You will receive any required documentation and then train your key users in managing your website.
Following approval to put the website live we deploy the files to the hosting environment and monitor to ensure it is robust and stable.
We will also discuss with you what support requirements you may have for the website going forward.
This includes how to ensure that you maximise the returns from your website through best practice by using tools such as web analytics and multivariate testing to optimise your website.
